This project focused on the design and installation of a large-scale outdoor bench system, crafted to complement the natural surroundings of a public space. The FlowBench was built using pressure-treated timber and constructed directly over a reinforced concrete base, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and long-term weather resistance.Salan Construct handled the entire process, from the initial planning and frame setup to the final wood finishing. The bench features a smooth, curved structure that required precise alignment and bending of the timber components over pre-set steel anchors. We created a flexible formwork, embedded steel rods into the foundation and carefully shaped the wooden slats to match the project’s flowing layout.This installation stands out not only for its clean finish and visual impact but also for the level of detail required in the execution. Each piece of timber was sanded, treated and installed by hand to guarantee a uniform surface and seamless joints. The final result offers a comfortable, functional and visually striking seating area that enhances the environment without overpowering it.The FlowBench project demonstrates Salan Construct’s ability to deliver high-quality outdoor carpentry with complex geometry. It combines durable craftsmanship with modern design, ideal for public parks, institutions or private landscapes. Every angle, curve and cut was executed with care and precision, showcasing our commitment to quality outdoor construction in the Amsterdam region and beyond.
